When in Washington State, Julie deRouche lives in a close-knit neighborhood on one of the San Juan Islands.  She has an amazing studio that is inspiring just to be in. 

Please don't hesitate to call her and set up an appointment to come see her.  Please call ahead though, if she doesn't know you're coming, she might be a bit preoccupied or maybe not home.  You can email her too, but your best bet is to call.  

No she doesn't have an English accent, but she might offer you some tea and chocolates.  It's an adventure to come see her and well worth the effort.
